Ah Sunday, the day of false hope. Hey here you go, some free time to finish and catch up whatever you want to do...sigh...

Well Monday is a fresh start and it's time to really start studying for exams....

Project Halo: T-24 days

Time to explain the game zoo! First, there should be a sizable amount of players. We had around 10 or so. Now the players are gathered into a circle. I imagine that it's like a game called concentration, but not too sure. Anyways, there is a chain and the players are in a circle ranked lowest to highest. In this order we have animals assigned to spots in the circle, with elephant being the highest and roadkill being the lowest. Each animal has an action that is performed....

Now then, onto the complicated part. The Elephant being the highest starts the round. First, everyone claps then claps their legs so there is a beat 1-2 1-2 and so on. The beat goes one(clap on legs)/ two (clap)/ let's play(clap on legs)/ zoo (clap)/(clap on legs)/ action / clap / someone else's action. After you do someone else's action, they must do theirs, clap, then do someone else's except for the person who sent it to them. It's really quite fun and difficult.

Why did I just explain this? Anyone who reads this probably played this with me, and so yeah...

But to anyone reading, we definitely need variations! We need one where the actions are replaced by say... Karate moves! The top could be a back roundhouse... and so on! It'd be great! We'd have fun and be training! But where could we find enough people to be coordinated enough...

Wow it was last last Thursday since I last blogged. Whoopsy! Well, I don't recall doing anything that Friday, not off the top of my head. But on the 10th a couple of us went to play hockey at an outdoor rink. Quite fun, although I guess being basically a pylon with a stick may not be all that glorious.

Anyways, a week of school, not much happening, although a bunch of birthdays hit. Mine, Larry's, Cas, and Joanne. Anyhow, blah blah blah ....

The weekend!

Saturday night was yet another X-box night! whoohoo! Yay for people like Dev and Ryan. It always starts from them thinking, frick, I'm bored, it's 11:00 pm... hey lets gather people and play Halo on 2 TV's. So they do. Get home around 4 something (=

I decided to have a birthday dinner on Sunday night, not really wanting much but just a dinner would be cool. My mom (so ever cool) paid for it and we had ourselves a fun time. Hehe, Tyng and Michelle were talking the whole time... jeez... and later on Tyng I think got a ride off of her... ;)

After the dinner we went home and played Zoo!!! Thanks to Delia for that, awesome game! I think it beats out.. um.. "sccchhhkkk!", well some people will get what I mean. Quick review of what happened, and a detailed analysis of the game Zoo later. (=

To finish up quickly on my break since I didn't do too much, started reading The Lord of the Rings sometime during the break and just finished it. During New Years Eve I just stayed at home with Delia and we watched the fireworks on TV. While watching it it seemed really cool so maybe we'll get the chance to go next year downtown. Rest of the days dwindled down after that, we also got some supplies to get ready our scrapbook, now we just need to start it (=

Not sure if there's anything else to mention about the break, since school started reality kicked in and once again I remembered I still don't know what I want to do. Blah for University....

My birthday is coming up soon, and I am looking to have some kind of dinner on Jan. 18 somewhere. Just a nice dinner somewhere with everyone would be great. And if anyone actually wants to do something other then stuff their face maybe we can set something up. Something like skating, me Kev 'n Tyng went on Wednesday at the Lago Lindo Community Centre outdoor rink. I laced up my bro's skates and went out, and it was real fun. Unfortunately my back hurts really bad, either due to shitty skating or whatever, but it was worth it.

Birthday wish? Stable future and to be able to spend time with everyone! Of course Delia gets dibs :S

Wow it's been a real long time since I've had an actual update. So here goes!

Once school finished, I had two things to look for on that weekend. One was a dinner to a YFC dinner and the other was my Karate X-mas party. I remember finishing my English exam on a Monday, and not much for that week. But anyways, the dinner was alright, and note that you should never combine walkie talkies and microphones. Apperently they intefere with each other and create those loud squealing noises that everybody hates. During that dinner I also saw a "hand play". Basically people wore black, but had white glow in the dark gloves, and waved and formed words and objects. It was... different.

This year the Karate X-mas party had a much better setup, having the Hall looking very nice. Kudos to those involved on that one. For my part, usually I get involved with skits that are performed during the party. Just like the previous years, the hope that we would plan early failed, as games and sleep topped the priority list. Once again back to planning on the day of the party, but as usual the skits get pulled off. We also had our Secret Santa which was pretty fun, there was crossbows and nunchuks and ridiculus amounts of present wrapping. Devin also "randomly" got me and set up his usual tricks, finally letting me have my gift, a friggin digital camera!!! Damn!

For my family's X-mas dinner, we decided to have a family potluck. Everyone was supposed to prepare something and bring it for us all to eat. It was good dinner because most people brought stuff they like, and not stuff we hate, 'cept for my mom -_- Not much else is there to be said about our dinner that night, except it was nice and there was lots to eat!

This summary should mostly bring things up to speed, and I'll finish up at a time any good procrastinator does, later!

Merry Christmas... heh... ehe.... so much for updating. So much and little has been happening, it's been too fun to stop and blog. Oh well! Happy Holidays!!

There's really lots to say and I may or may not be just saving it for another time. In any case, please take care of yourself and remember what is truly important to you.
I don't remember what I was going to put for the bad news for last Friday, but it probably wasn't important. Anyways, on about Delia's play, or "one act." It was titled "Business is War" and she played a lingerie model named Maleka. It was pretty good but for some reason Del was pretty peeved at her performance, not sure why. But about the play, it was pretty funny because although it was written by women, the play depended on female stereotypes. By that, I mean the dumb secretary, model, and overpowering boss bitch. But overall, it was awesome and made my night that day.

On Monday, we found out that my uncle passed away. My brother summed it up best saying that he never expected to experience a loss this close to home. I've told a few people this, but when we told my grandmother, there is nothing like watching a mother's heartbreak over hearing what happened to her son. It still doesn't seem real. We just visited my cousin's family over the summer, and now 3 short months later we can't visit him anymore.

Me and my brother lost an uncle, my dad lost a brother, his kids lost a father, his wife lost a husband, and his mother lost a son.

He seemed fit, we watched him play basketball and talk about raquetball. But still, he had some other habits that weren't changing even though his age was. It can't be true, it just can't be. He had a heart attack on his way to work, and it seems that his cholesterol and blood pressure numbers were troubling. My own dad's health was hitting rough patches and I was mostly unaware of it. It was a wake up call, and thanks largely in part to my mom he came back and lives life differently. There are so many variables that affect the body that it's so important to listen to your body and take care of it. Well, I've been entrenched in bad habits for eating and that's got to stop, I'm young now but I won't be forever. I still don't believe what happened...

He leaves behind a son, daughter, and his wife. Our thoughts are with him....

I'll elaborate this, but first the good news.

Saw Delia act! She played a model, which really isn't a stretch cuz she looks so great! But more on this later.

Also, looks like from the lack of updating from everyone in our 'lil circle it seems everyone has forgotten about blogs, or has gotten really busy from school. Maybe I should go study after I stare at the fishies.

Man... I ended up going to the Oilers game and should have clarified that I wasn't supposed to go. In any case, Oilers do pretty well but... can't win. 15 shots in the first period, San Jose has 1, but the score is tired!! WTF!
To the bottom post, you can't divide by zero. Anyways, it's going to be pretty hectic, gotta finish a big essay due on wednesday that I haven't started and I got a lab exam tomorrow. Then the real fun begins, as I have 4 exams next week and in an effort not to cram everything I've been trying to start early.

Friday I get a break because I'm going to watch a play at Archbishop Macdonald High School, where Delia goes. She's in what I'm assuming is a one act and I know it's gonna be good. She's a model!

In other news, due to the excitement of Sharkie in our house, we have an aquarium. Still not sure why. Anyways, we have 3 fishies in there. Bad news is Sharkie is so weak from living in poor conditions he can't live in the tank. Poor guy, he's dying slowly. He's getting whiter and not really moving at all. We're still all kind of amazed as to how he's lived to now. But yes, our aquarium is very cool, we have one male swordtail and two females. I'm gonna go watch them now... peace out!

Laws of math... broken!? Here we go,
A=B
A^2=AB
A^2-B^2 =AB - B^2
(A-B)(A+B) = B(A-B)
A+B=B
Who wants to goto an Oilers game? The condition is, you hafta go with my mom, dad, and my brother Keith. Keith, being a useless bum, isn't or can't find a friend to go. I hate to have such a ticket wasted....

Well that bottom post made me happy and thinking on a positive note. By the way, anyone have a good idea for me regarding what I should get for Delia for X-mas???
The meaning of life is 47. Has anyone ever heard of that? A long time ago, I looked it up and came across this long winded PDF document. The point that came across to me was very simple despite the document being a huge amount of pages. I'm not sure exactly what was being shown, but my intepretation was simple: The Meaning of Life is what you want it to be.

The author arbitrarily picked a number, and made it his meaning. No matter how irrational or how insignificant it may seem to people it's his meaning, and no one can take that away from him. It seems like such common sense, but it's so easy to get lost in the shuffle of life and not really think about it. The meaning is yours to choose, and if you choose nothing, voila! Your life means nothing. To me the point was that the meaning of life is not just some incredible philosophy or a way to tell you how to live. It is not just the explanation of why we are here and what we are here to do. But then again, maybe that's what it is to you. It's what you desire, feel, think, and emote. The meaning of life is what you want it to be.

What is your meaning to your life? Is it to be happy? How? By doing the things you love? Or by sacrificing the things you love for the people you love? What do the people around you mean? What about those that may influence, or be influenced by you? Maybe you want to be successful. Desire to lead in athletics, arts, business, or science? Or understand all? What do you want? No one can decide for you. Think! The meaning of life is what you want it to be.

...What the hell am I writing?

This poor attempt to be deep is just from remembering the statement: The meaning of life is 47. Huh?? So I looked it up. That must have been in the summer. I needed this as a way to put things into perspective, as sometimes things look pointless, or simply meaningless. If life has no meaning, why bother? That's because you gave it no meaning.

What's my meaning of life then? At this point, to be a better person for each day that passes and to see those around me prosper.

Anyone wanna start a study group?

Friday, November 21, 2003

Howdy y'all!! I've been busy studying for an Economics midterm which I think I'm going to get around 84-86%. Somewhere around that region, which isn't too shabby. Right now though, I'm really excited for the Heritage Classic game!! First the Alumni game between past Edmonton Oiler stars and Montreal Canadian stars! Then the actual NHL game. Man it's been incredible to live in Edmonton for the past while. First the Grey Cup win, now this!!

I got a chance to visit city hall and check out what was happening. It was pretty cool, they had the Stanley Cup as well as all the other trophies out. Tomorrow is kinda like Christmas, can't wait for gametime...

Can't think of anything else at the moment, I'm just thinkin about the game!! Go Oilers!
