I don't remember what I was going to put for the bad news for last Friday, but it probably wasn't important. Anyways, on about Delia's play, or "one act." It was titled "Business is War" and she played a lingerie model named Maleka. It was pretty good but for some reason Del was pretty peeved at her performance, not sure why. But about the play, it was pretty funny because although it was written by women, the play depended on female stereotypes. By that, I mean the dumb secretary, model, and overpowering boss bitch. But overall, it was awesome and made my night that day.

On Monday, we found out that my uncle passed away. My brother summed it up best saying that he never expected to experience a loss this close to home. I've told a few people this, but when we told my grandmother, there is nothing like watching a mother's heartbreak over hearing what happened to her son. It still doesn't seem real. We just visited my cousin's family over the summer, and now 3 short months later we can't visit him anymore.

Me and my brother lost an uncle, my dad lost a brother, his kids lost a father, his wife lost a husband, and his mother lost a son.

He seemed fit, we watched him play basketball and talk about raquetball. But still, he had some other habits that weren't changing even though his age was. It can't be true, it just can't be. He had a heart attack on his way to work, and it seems that his cholesterol and blood pressure numbers were troubling. My own dad's health was hitting rough patches and I was mostly unaware of it. It was a wake up call, and thanks largely in part to my mom he came back and lives life differently. There are so many variables that affect the body that it's so important to listen to your body and take care of it. Well, I've been entrenched in bad habits for eating and that's got to stop, I'm young now but I won't be forever. I still don't believe what happened...

He leaves behind a son, daughter, and his wife. Our thoughts are with him....
